A society is about people; gems are the subjects that bring us together. The International Gem Society has thousands of members on every continent, (except Antarctica of course.) We are primarily an educational organization, with our main subjects gem identification and gem grading. Education is a continuous process and we keep our members informed of new gem discoveries, treatments, laws, and other changes in the industry.
    Our members include many seasoned professionals; lapidaries, metal smiths, collectors, and dealers. Our World Class Gem and Jewelry pages give them an opportunity to show off their wares.
    For the consumer, this is a safe haven for shopping. All the items on our World Class pages have been inspected by professional gemologists at our home office. You can be assured that what you see is exactly what you are getting!
