Hi everybody, my name is Alexander and I have been cutting emeralds for 20 years. We always made traditional cuts in pavilions like stepped in square and emerald cut, and brilliant in other cuts like pear, oval and cushion. But nowadays some people suggest me to cut the pavilions in the stepped way. This is not usually for me and some stones donĀ“t reflect as well as if I cut the special pavilions cuts in brilliant way, What I really need from you is technical explanation about both kinds of make the pavilions according with the IR. Thanks for your support.
