General Information

    Membership in the International Gem Society is $59 for one year, $109 for two years, or $149 for three years. All fees are in US dollars. (Note: Visa and Master Card do not allow for two and three year contracts. Your options are Pay Pal, checks and money orders for these terms.)
    As an IGS member, you are automatically enrolled in our gemology course. You will receive our weekly eNews and a password for access to all parts of our site. In addition, your are entitled to free advertising, discounts at select businesses, and all our other programs.

   The Mini-Gem Collection consists of four gems, a 10X loupe, plus instructions on how to use the loupe and what to look for.

    This eBook details the myths and lore of our precious gems. The author has referenced almost every ancient culture in this comprehensive work. Among the gems covered are pearl, topaz, ruby, sapphire, diamond, and more. It is well written and beautifully illustrated.

4 POLARIZING FILTERS - Normally $3 - FREE!

    Make your own instruments! This kit contains two polarizing filters, about two inches square, for making a polariscope. In addition, there are two smaller pieces for making a dichroscope!

    Gemology Tools is a computer program for the gemologist. It has easy to use weight estimators, a gemstone database, diamond graders, a diamond cut analyzer, and much, much more.
    This is one of the most useful tool you can have. Its gemstone data base simplifies the identification process. The grading tools also simplify and speed up your reports. It comes highly recommended.

 

10X TRIPLET LOUPE - Normally $32.50 - Just $19.

    10X triplet loupe, fully corrected, includes a leather case. This loupe is suitable for diamond grading and all other professional needs. Compares very favorably with loupes costing as much as $45!

 

 

GEM SETTING KIT - Normally $29 - Just $19.

    Setting gems is not particularly difficult, but it does require practice to do it well. This kit is designed to give you that practice at a minimum of cost.
    The set includes gems, findings, and instructions. Six gems, 3 pair of earrings, 3 levels of difficulty. Tools not included.
