Custom Round Brilliant Cut Mahenge Garnet, Tanzania, 3.56 Carats cts
This garnet shifts to a stunning, intense orangy reddish pink under incandescent light. It has an RI of about 1.748 compared with a rhodolite I checked that was 1.76. Also, the inclusions are transparent crystal type rather than the usual rutile needles found in “rhodolite” garnets.
