Chrysoberyl
This is my first attempt at cutting a cat's eye chrysoberyl. The eye in this stone is a bit on the soft side, and rolls back and forth in the long direction of the oval at a slight angle. In the photo you can see the silk line lighting up toward the left side of the stone, and I can see it a bit better in person. The eye tends to "hang out" more on that end, but does seem to roll all the way across as you move the stone back and forth. Color: Light Greenish Yellow, Cut: Oval Cabochon, Weight: 1.20, Dimensions: 5 x 7 mm. (Information supplied by photo contributor.) © Daniel Stair, CustomGemstones.com
