Fancy Scissors Emerald Cut Sunstone, Oregon, U.S.A., 6.36 cts
This sunstone has a good orangy red color and a moderate amount of copper schiller that has been oriented to be minimized in appearance rather than to flash back at the viewer. The cut is a fancy scissors design I developed that I’m thinking of calling a butterfly emerald.
