Garnet (Pyrope, Rhodolite, Almandine, Spessartite, Grossular, Demantoid, Tsavorite)
By Jeff R. Graham
Angles for R.I. = 1.73
58 facets + 8 facets on girdle = 66
4=fold, mirror-image symmetry
L/W = 1.000 T/W = 0.222
T/L = 0.222 P/W = 0.206 C/W = 0.206
H/W = (P+C)/W+0.02 = 0.431
P/H = 0.477 C/H = 0.477
Vol./W^3 = 0.244
Addition # 8 - This is really quite pretty. I prefer this design in a piece of Rhodolite. It's good for flat/thin rough that you cannot do a lot else with. This sells quite well because it is different and cuts fast. Cut it in any refractive index, medium saturation.
